I am inspired by cars, car magazines, car culture, and family history. For several years I have been telling the story of the racing exploits of the Kenyon Motor Co.
From the 1930's into the late 1960's My Grandfather's business, the Kenyon Motor Co. sold cars and farm implements.
However, the racing history is my invention.
My "Dreams of Speed" series is a way for me to make artwork around the theme of racing. I imagine myself and the Kenyon Motor Co. racing cars on the Bonneville salt flats starting in the late 1940's.
I create replica cars, car parts, paintings, prints, collages, drawings, uniforms, patches and videos. This is to advance my narrative about the racing history of the Kenyon Motor Co.
I have a BFA from the Corcoran School of Art.
